Very funny Lindsay, but serious tips too. I’m a triathlete, but don’t have a boyfriend at the moment. It really helps if they at least live an active lifestyle too. I have to sometimes adjust my weekend schedules to stay out a bit later! Thanks so much.

Thanks Teri!! It does help a TON if they are active. Even if they don’t do triathlons – if they are a runner or cross fitter or climber…doesn’t matter I find that I’ve been able to connect more with them because we “get” each other 🙂 thanks for reading!

Hi Lindsay. I think you certainly hit the highlights. It’s tough enough out there, but when you add being a triathlete into the mix- whew! I’ve had a boyfriend who tried to keep getting me to miss training sessions, stay out late, etc. Hard to date a party person. I prefer the athlete who has some understanding. Thanks for sharing

This had me smiling 🙂 There are other categories of tri supporters, too… not quite in their 20-s anymore, not chubby, but super excited about dating a triathlete 🙂 Like me. He definitely inspired me to up my gym time and I am considering some type of a running race for next year, plus I signed up to volunteer at his IM this month in NH. Looking forward to more posts from you! Dating anyone is a mutual commitment. A little effort goes a long way!

Thanks Anna. I will make sure Lindsay sees your comment. I think it’s great that he’s inspired you to get active. We need to do things to support each other in relationships. Can’t wait to hear how NH goes, both from a volunteer and trisupporter standpoint. You better let us know.

Thanks jill and anna! Ive dated non-athletes too who tried to do the same thing. Live and learn 🙂 . Anna – Who wouldn’t be excited about dating a triathlete I say haha. Before I became a triathlete I loved watching my dad at IM races not just because I enjoyed cheering him on…but I enjoyed cheering on all the fit triathlete guys who would run by me too 😉 haha. Made me want to put on spandex and race with them!

Hey Lindsay. Dating a triathlete is an issue whether you are female or male. We’re not easy! But we have many other assets…
