This is all so true. I felt the same way until I visited. I have always been lucky enough to be at Yosemite and stay at Tenaya during quieter seasons. The park is bigger and more wondrous in real life than in any picture or postcard!

Reading John Muir’s essays on Yosemite is one of the things that made me fall in love with our National Parks. Ironically, I suppose, Yosemite is one of the only NP’s I haven’t been to. Thanks for this great post.

This is great to know! I would love to visit sometime too! I am especially interested in hearing about things for families to do (ie. family friendly places to eat and visit, tricks and tips.) Thanks!

I have never been to yosemite, but after reading about the tranquility and accommodations it definitely sounds worth it in the Spring or Fall. Good tip about the crowded summers.

Holy Yum, that looks good! And I think the tree branch looks like a brontosaurus. What Fun!
